There are 3 absolute truths in this world.
I can't promise you eternal life, nor can I help you escape your tax responsibilities. What I can help with is bringing all the best Fantasy Baseball expert advice into one place so that you have a better chance to be compete with the experts. At the very least, we aim to make you smarter than the rest of the folks in your fantasy baseball league.
While the site may be labeled as a beta-release, I assure you that the underlying technology is quite mature and comes with a proven track record. When I first wrote the NerdRank algorithm, I did it with fantasy football in mind. It didn't take long for the industry to take notice. Our technology has been called the "best kept secret in fantasy football" and the Washington Post called it the "Cliff's Notes of the Industry." The technology has been recognized as one of the most accurate platforms over a multi-year study. While all of the industry accolades are nice, the real satisfaction comes from the feedback of our users. Helping someone win a championship is a pretty amazing and gratifying feeling. That's what we want to do for you.
Even though the underlying algorithm was created for our award-winning fantasy football rankings, it adapted quite nicely to baseball. The basic gist is this: we compare the rankings and projections of the industry's best experts to produce a consensus. The experts who are most accurate get to have the most influence on our consensus.
I'm going to let you in on an industry secret: no single expert is the most accurate in every category. That is not a slight to any of the experts we aggregate. They are professionals and experts in their fields, but this is a complex game, and no expert can be perfect all the time. If an expert is better at predicting batters than pitchers, we'll favor his/her batting predictions and give priority to those experts more accurate with predicting pitchers.
Fantasy Baseball Nerd is like having an All-Star team at your disposal.
